Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage for some preferences (theme, locale) that behave similarly to cookies.

• Authentication — session tokens to keep you signed in (Supabase auth).
• Security — CSRF and abuse-prevention where applicable.
• Preferences — colour theme (layr-color-theme), Studio locale cookie, editor preferences stored locally.
• Your privacy choices — whether you allowed optional analytics and diagnostics (layr-cookie-analytics, layr-cookie-diagnostics), stored locally so we do not ask again.

These are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled in-product.

On your first visit to Studio, a banner asks whether we may use optional product analytics (PostHog). It helps us understand how Studio is used, for example which pages are visited and where people get stuck. PostHog stays off, and sets no cookies or browser storage, until you choose Allow analytics.

You can change your choice at any time from Manage cookies in the Studio footer, or from Analytics settings in the banner.

We count page visits in aggregate with Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or browser storage and does not follow you across other websites. For each page view it records the page address, from which we remove every parameter except campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), together with the referring website, country, and device, operating system and browser type.

Because it stores nothing on your device, it runs regardless of the choice you make in the banner.

Error monitoring itself is part of operating the service. Sampled, privacy-masked session replay (Sentry) is not strictly necessary and stays off until you enable diagnostics in Manage cookies. You can turn it off again the same way.

Payment or auth providers may set their own cookies when you interact with their flows. Refer to their policies when using those services.

Use the banner on your first visit, or Manage cookies in the Studio footer later, to opt in or out of product analytics and diagnostics. You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or saved preferences. See also our Privacy Policy, Section 8.
